Ground Control Unmanned Vehicle Using Single Board Computer for Environmental Study

This paper presents the prototype of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) carefully designed for monitoring environmental sensing through integrated sensor technologies. The UGV features a Motion Processing Unit (MPU) for environmental impact assessment, complemented by gas sensors for pollutant monitoring and an NPK sensor for soil fertility evaluation. Expanding its capabilities, the prototype is also equipped with Temperature and Humidity and Ultrasonic sensors for atmospheric data and distance measurements, respectively. To get the proper mapping of the robot the GPS sensor is attached to it, which facilitates remote control and data acquisition. UGV operations are controlled by single board computer (Raspberry Pi), supported by a proposed architecture, with signal processing techniques optimizing MPU data collection. This project signifies an advancement in environmental monitoring, showcasing its applications in pollution control, irrigation, and infrastructure maintenance.
