Concurrent Improvement of Polarization Purity and Gain in Miniaturized Circular Patch Antenna for Wireless Communication
摘要
The goal of the investigation is to miniaturize a conventional circular path antenna (CPA) with high gain and polarization purity. An elementary probe feed circular patch with symmetrical rectangular slite united at the radiating edge on RT-Duroid substrate (εr = 2.33) has been examined for co-occurring advancement of the gain, polarization purity, and miniaturization. The current study offers a shrinkage of the active patch area of about 39.3%, polarization purity of 30.7 dB, and a high consistent gain of 7.78 dBi, which is naturally superior to a circular patch antenna. Considering the advent of wireless communication technologies, where the primary needs are miniaturization, high polarization purity, stable gain, and radiation pattern, the proposed structure may be useful because it offers consistent radiation patterns throughout the whole operational frequency band and is very simple to assemble.
