Modern Fine Arts Education

The trend of studying in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s produced many Chinese artists who were familiar with Western art. After returning to their homeland, they spread Western art concepts and methods through new art education and activities, namely the establishment of new schools and clubs. Based on the changes in the atmosphere of learning and social life occasioned by Western culture, art clubs also emerged at the same time as schools focusing on Western art education. These perpetuated the trends of the “New Culture Movement” promoted in ideological and intellectual circles, and strengthened the concept of Western art education and art.
