Contemporary Artists

Since the beginning of the new century, people no longer watch for the emergence of art movements, groups, or trends, as individuality has become the basic characteristic of artists. This chapter chronicles the contemporary artists whose names have appeared not only in China but also in cities around the world and in major international exhibitions. Their art presents challenging concepts, further strengthening the influence of modern art concepts and contemporary art that took off in China since the 1980s of the last century, and their art constitutes the most unique part of the history of Chinese contemporary art.
