Prologue
摘要
This chapter briefly describes the author’s family situation in the early years of his life including his experience in World War IIWorld War II as a child and the death of his father in the Battle of Okinawa as well as his education which have had some significant influences on his professional life. It explains how the path was paved for the beginning of his professional career at the Bank of Japan, and how he was trained as a young central bank official before becoming an economist at its Research Department.
