The International Environment and the State of Insecurity in Nigeria: A Critical Reflection on the Emerging Issues

The global system is made up of actors whose relationship is cemented on the basis of their connection or disaggregation from the environment in which they operate, the extent to which they pursue their national interests and the available resources they deploy to achieve these goals. In the spheres of production, mobility of factors of production, diplomacy or peace-building, this environment represents a mosaic of opportunities for state and non-state actors to interact and have a telescopic view of what they want or even dictate, directly or indirectly, how issues pertaining to international and national affairs can be made impressive or stymied, depending on what interest is.
