  • Luqman Saka

摘要

The need to guaranteeguarantee the securitysecurity of life and advance the protection of property is generally agreed as the main raison d’etre necessitating the existence of the state as a social and political construct (Aristotelis, Hapsc Policy Briefs Series 1:265–272, 2020). Indeed, the first order of importance for the establishmentestablishment of the state is to provide security for the lives and property of people. In return, the people will surrender their rights to the sovereign acting on behalf of the state. This assumption represents the core foundational pillar of the Social Contract Theory as the foremost theoretical postulation deployeddeployed in an attempt at explaining the emergenceemergence of state.
