A bird’s-eye view of Nigeria’s landscape presents a picture akin to that of a country at war with itself or what Richards (No peace, No war, 2004) described as a zone of no war no peace. This is because, while full-scale war has not broken out across the country, bestial and reciprocal violence has become predictable realities across the country.
