Intersection Between Nigeria’s Foreign Policy and National Security

The events of 11 September 2001 in which 19 Islamic militants of Saudi descent, with links to the extremistextremist al-Qaeda group using four passenger airlines, attacked the United States (US) by crashing two of the planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, the third into the Pentagon military headquarters; the fourth was forced by passengers to crash on a rural field in Pennsylvania. The incidents checked all the boxes on the character of terrorismterrorism.
