Design and Study of Single Array and 2 × 2 Array Patch Array Antenna

In this study, the single and a 2 × 2 patch array antenna is designed and simulated. The objective of this research is to enhance the performance of parameters which includes gain, S11, VSWR, and bandwidth. In this design process, a 2.4 GHz single-element patch antenna and 2 × 2 arrays antenna are designed. The results of the antenna design are then analyzed in terms of S-parameter and VSWR, which revealed that the designed antenna array outperforms the single-element patch antenna. Ansoft HFSS was used to design and simulate the single and patch antenna array. Due to its impressive characteristics, this antenna is suitable for use in short-range communication applications.
