Cloud computing’s prominence in the industry mainly concerns its capacity to support scalable and cost-effective solutions. However, businesses progressively rely on cloud services to store and manage sensitive data. The extensive use of cloud services makes them vulnerable targets for various cybersecurity threats, from data breaches to ransomware attacks. This study presents a thorough overview of cloud security, serving as a valuable resource for experts, researchers, and policymakers in understanding and staying informed on data security trends in cloud computing. Furthermore, this study suggests a novel security mechanism and blockchain technologies for cloud computing, IoT security, and privacy.
