Enhancing Power Quality in Grid-Tied Solar Photovoltaic Systems

Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that are connected to the grid have become an essential part of the transition to a future powered by sustainable and renewable energy. Numerous advantages are provided by these systems, including lower carbon emissions and more affordable electricity production. However, there are a number of power quality issues that arise from their integration into the electrical grid. This study covers several technologies and tactics targeted at improving power quality and gives a comprehensive examination of grid-connected solar PV systems’ power quality issues. This research contributes to the reliable and efficient integration of solar PV into the grid, assuring a clean and reliable energy supply for both residential and commercial customers by tackling problems including voltage fluctuations, harmonics, and transient disturbances.
