Securing the Global Enterprise: Cybersecurity and Risk Management in the Business

Enterprise risk management (RM) now places a premium on cybersecurity as organisations speed up their digital transition with social media, mobile devices, cloud services, and Internet of things (IoTs) services. The fast evolution of privacy and security rules has made cybersecurity management difficult despite the fact that increasing cybersecurity contributes to greater levels of consumer confidence and improved income prospects. The present work presents a cyber-RM structure, talks about a cyber-RM process, and shows an ongoing enhancement of cybersecurity efficiency against the backdrop of rapidly increasing cyberbreaches and the development of novel cybersecurity technologies like machine learning (ML) as well as artificial intelligence (AI). The main concern of this research is to examine the results of employing various cybersecurity and risk management techniques on the business performance of the various software companies. This analysis is reliable on the secondary data collection method, in which the four leading software companies were analysed. The research data is collected from the past four years annual reports of these companies. The outcome of this research exposes that the various tools and techniques related to cybersecurity and risk management used by the companies have a significant impact on the company’s performance. This study also reveals that the implemented comprehensive cybersecurity and risk management strategies play a crucial role in terms of the financial success of the leading software companies.
