The Exploration of Entrepreneurial Activities and Innovation in Pangandaran Tourism Area, West Java, Indonesia: Service Science Perspective

There is an increase in investment in tourism destinations in Indonesia. One of them is in Pangandaran, one of Indonesia’s coastal tourism destinations that is under development to become a world-class tourism destination. The stakeholders of Pangandaran attempt to develop unique offerings and identities to give the destination a competitive advantage. Entrepreneurs as the source of innovation play an important role in developing uniqueness. This research hopes to describe the case of entrepreneurial innovation through the network by using the lens of value co-creation. The research concluded that the network of entrepreneurs in Pangandaran does not encourage innovation from happening.
