摘要

Since its independence, Indonesia has been facing several challenges to chase the growth to become a developed country in 2045. Such challenges are economic crises and the impact of global events like the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions. Elections and environmental concerns, particularly the commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060, add to the uncertainties. The upcoming election, environmental shifts, and economic dependence on industries like coal mining pose challenges for the nation. To address these uncertainties, scenario planning methods can be used to anticipate and navigate potential future scenarios effectively. Therefore, in this chapter, we would like to present the scenario planning adaptation for Indonesia’s case. Those cases came from several sectors: education, capital market, transportation, environment, and technology, which have their own uniqueness in analyzing those sectors.
