Discussion, Conclusion, and Policy Suggestions

This chapter has presented the summary of the findings obtained from the study with a contrasting scenario between theory and practice. To conduct this study, the book has given a glimpse of several theories relating to social safety net programs. The study has adopted the Human Right Based Approach and Theory of Intersectionality presenting some logical arguments on why these theories are more appropriate for this study. The previous two chapters of this book have intended to find whether and if so, then how disability, gender identity, and financial insolvency influence the accessibility to social security of women with disabilities in rural area and also the challenges of accessibility. Here, the authors have argued on the influence of intersectional identities on the accessibility to social safety net program by women with disabilities and financial insolvency in rural area and have presented an in-depth investigation of how identities are caused to obstruct accessibility which violates human rights. Additionally, in this chapter, the contribution of this book to the existing body of knowledge and theoretical praxis has been illustrated very specifically. Last of all, the chapter has presented some policy recommendations based on the policy gaps in the legal arena of Bangladesh which has remarked in this study, to make social security accessible to women with disabilities, and financial insolvency in rural area.
