With the advancement of technology in every aspect of life, its adaptability by various businesses has increased manifolds. Economic crime has also taken the shape of a techno-cyber-related crime in current times. This advancement in technological usage by various finance-related companies and the access to the internet by majority of the population without any guided training or manual has given attackers a niche point over the victims. It has been evident since the inception of technology that the first ones to commercialize the technology are criminals. In this research, it has tried to showcase the new variants of cyber economic crimes and their modus operandi. This technology is only the medium through which the miscreants have been duping victims with financial-related frauds. At the end of this research, its context with the Indian scenario is also discussed in detail.
