Surgical Management of Inflatable Penile Prosthesis Complications

The three-piece inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) is the gold standard for surgical management of erectile dysfunction. While typically a safe and straightforward operation, there are several well-described complications that require the surgeon’s prompt recognition and appropriate management. This chapter will describe complications of IPP placement and outline the surgical steps necessary for subsequent management.
