Tubularised Incised Plate Urethroplasty: A Modification of the Thiersch-Duplay Principle
摘要
The tubularised incised plate urethroplasty (TIP repair) is a popular technique for distal hypospadias repair in the paediatric age group. It was initially described by Dr Warren Snodgrass as a modification to the Thiersch-Duplay technique with the addition of the release incision in the midline of the urethral plate [1, 2]. This technique has been widely accepted and hence well studied. Minor modifications of classic TIP repair and better patient selection have further improved the outcomes [3].
