Hypospadias, a congenital anomaly characterized by an aberrant location of the urethral meatus, stands as a significant clinical challenge in pediatric urology. The complexity of managing this condition is highlighted by the presence of over 300 surgical techniques, emphasizing the diversity in approaches and the lack of a universally accepted strategy [1]. The evolution of surgical techniques, from simpler methods to more complex tissue transfers and grafting procedures, reflects the ongoing advancements in the field. This evolution is driven by a better understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the condition, as well as technological advancements. This abundance of methods not only illustrates the varied perspectives in the field but also points to an ongoing debate about the most effective surgical interventions; thus, it underscores the lack of consensus regarding the optimal approach. Furthermore, the ultimate surgical outcome assessment spans several years, which is essential for assessing the long-term success and efficacy of the chosen surgical treatment. An algorithmic approach to hypospadias surgery is crucial. Such algorithms guide surgeons in selecting the most appropriate technique based on specific criteria, thereby standardizing care and potentially improving outcomes. This approach also aids in managing the expectations of patients and their families. Long-term monitoring of hypospadias patients is essential for assessing surgical success and patient satisfaction.
