Staged Approaches to Penile Urethral Strictures
摘要
Male anterior urethral stricture is a prevalent condition faced by urologists. Despite the high rate of recurrence, many cases are managed with repetitive dilation or internal urethrotomy. Although urethroplasty has a high success rate, it remains underused in various regions. The reconstructive approach for anterior urethral strictures offers a significant reduction in the reliance on less favourable treatments, positively affecting the patient’s quality of life. This chapter aims to elucidate the indications for surgery and detail the surgical techniques most frequently applied in the reconstruction of the anterior urethra.
