Ergonomics of Urethroplasty
摘要
The vast majority of urologists in the world sit to operate when it comes to perineal surgery. Consider that you are doing an open abdominal pelvic surgery; the patient is in supine position, and the surgeon and team stand at 90 degrees to the patient. Now consider that the same patient is in lithotomy position; if standing, the surgeon is at a 0-degree angle to the urethra. The freedom of movement in a 0-degree angle is reduced.
