The trans-scleral haptic fixation was originally started by Gabor Scharioth [1, 2] in 2006 and further modified by Agarwal et al. [3] in 2007. This modification of intraocular lens (IOL) fixation has become a popular technique for secondary IOL fixation in the absence of capsular support, subluxated lenses, ectopia lentis, and spherophakia.
