Cataract Surgery in Uveitis
摘要
Uveitic cataracts are a common complication of chronic or recurrent intraocular inflammation and/or chronic corticosteroid therapy. Recurrent disease, even if with only low-grade inflammation, tend to induce cataract formation more often than acute episodes of limited duration [1]. An increased dose and duration of steroid treatment also results in the increased risk of cataract development [2].
