The Application of English Spoken Pronunciation Assessment Based on Deep Learning in English Education

Oral English pronunciation is one of the important aspects of learning English. Accurate pronunciation can help students understand and express English better. However, the traditional oral assessment method has some limitations, such as high subjectivity and high time cost. With the rapid growth of deep learning (DL) technology, the assessment of spoken English pronunciation based on DL has gradually attracted the interest of researchers and educators. The oral pronunciation assessment system based on DL proposed in this article uses speech recognition technology and machine learning model. Speech recognition technology can convert students’ speech input into text form, and then machine learning model can evaluate these texts according to preset standards. The test results show that the assessment model of English pronunciation quality in this article is credible, which can give learners timely, accurate, and objective assessment and feedback guidance, help learners find out the differences between their own pronunciation and standard pronunciation, correct pronunciation errors, thus improving the efficiency of oral English learning, and has broad application prospects in English education.
