摘要

The present chapter explores the potential of using nanotechnology to enhance the antifungal properties of plant extracts for therapeutic applications. Fungal infections pose a significant public health concern, and the increased resistance of some fungi to traditional antifungal drugs necessitates the search for novel solutions. Plant-based nanoparticles offer a promising approach, as they combine the diverse chemical properties of plants with the advantages of nanotechnology. These nanoparticles can effectively deliver plant-derived active constituents, such as terpenoids, saponins, and alkaloids, to target fungal infections with improved efficacy and reduced side effects. The research in this area highlights the exciting prospect of developing innovative antifungal therapies using plant-based nanoparticles, potentially revolutionizing the treatment of fungal infections in the future.
