Bouncing to the Empirical, then Back to Quantum Theory Building
摘要
This part of the book comprises a series of independent entries. Here is an excerpt: “Thoughts are the enemy of enlightenment; rational thinking, too. Thoughts are in fact the prisons we live all our lives in, with barely anyone making a prison escape. This is where Siddhartha (Hesse, 1922) is coming in, he broke out. By not exiting the prison, but by expelling the prison from the brain, by expelling thoughts, notions and mental formations (ideas, hate, etc.). Gustave Le Bon (1881, 1894, 1895, 1918) and Sigmund Freud (1921) were among those that were very clear about the impact of society on the inner workings of the brain, where all of society’s rules, dos and don’ts, all of its evaluations, all of what is good and bad, and why, are embodied in the super ego. Lev Vygotsky (1978), too, perfectly understood and perfectly explained the causal relationship between a person’s social environment, and not just parents and family, and the development of the human brain, the human character and lifetime behavior.”
