A Conceptual Enterprise Architecture for a Decentralized Distributed Business Environment Using Blockchain

The progress of modern science and technology has advanced society and improved the potential for a smart Internet system at any business enterprise architecture. Constructing a business blockchain is a significant challenge requiring considerable time due to the technology’s novelty. In any enterprise architecture model, the implementation of blockchain technology improves the dimension of business efficiency in an effective and transparent manner. Architecting a decentralized enterprise blockchain is one of the major challenges in any business model. In an enterprise setup, with a compliance perspective, in every segment of the architecture component, the communication should be done through a centralized route. However, by incorporating a decentralized mechanism, by using the concept Blockchain of Things (BoT), give a provision to the enterprise to function like a decentralized mode. From the literature study, it has been identified that there is scarce literature on blockchain integration with enterprise architecture which is decentralized in nature. The study gives the direction that blockchains can strengthen the enterprise system to establish the ecosystem by shared information among a larger scope of actors within organizations.
