Dependability Framework for Smart Tiny Edge Devices
摘要
Tiny edge devices are increasingly used in the autonomous cars, smart home, smart city, smart wearables, smart agriculture, etc. These devices have relatively limited memory and limited processing capability to process the huge flow of data collected using sensors. These low-cost devices are used in critical applications where dependability is an important concern. Dependability issues include reliability, availability, safety, security, privacy and integrity. Most researchers have focussed on dealing with any one or a small subset of the aforementioned dependability aspects. The aim of this paper is to present an overview of an end-to-end dependable framework that can be used to resolve any one or more aspects of dependability in smart tiny edge devices based on the application and the user demands.
