摘要

In today's era of precision medicine and individualized approaches, remote monitoring and control of heart function are critical for patient evaluation and management. Consumers have begun to employ consumer-grade software and hardware devices to monitor their health as technological advancements become increasingly integrated in daily life. The cardiology community must become familiar with vital sign monitor—wearable healthcare device in the era of distant and decentralized, which was the need during COVID-19 pandemic. The potential and application of wearable technology for heart disease monitoring are constantly expanding. Holter event recording and electrocardiogram (ECG) patch are examples of wearable devices in cardiology. Textile and wristband implementation in various patient groups focus over real-time deployment and evolution of wearables in arrhythmia, cardiovascular disorders, and some of its associated risk factors. In addition to the proper attire, clinical trials are also important for the clinical validation, inclusive of the use of correct terminology.
