Basic Information on Prehistoric Cultural Complexes in Northeast Asia

摘要

Northeast AsiaAsia as a large archaeological region was first defined by (Chard, Northeast AsiaAsia in prehistory, University of Wisconsin Press, 1974). Due to its vastness, the prehistoric cultural complexes vary greatly; for example, pottery is scarcely known on Kamchatka and in adjacent areas, while in Japan and the southern Russian Far East some of the oldest ceramic complexes in the world have been recorded.
