Planning Intervention of Spatial Development Strategy

Chapter 7 shifting from exploring the laws of urban spatial development to examining interventions and guidance in urban planning and design. This shift further underscores our fundamental argument: while urban spatial development follows its inherent laws, it is not solely the natural outcome of these laws operating in isolation. Instead, it requires appropriate intervention and guidance. Moreover, the emergence of laws governing spatial development results from the combined effects of various underlying structures of spatial development, with human activity playing a crucial role. Thus, the essence of planning and design is to actively and correctly leverage human intervention and guidance to foster urban space development in accordance with these laws. The objective of understanding these laws is their application, which constitutes the basic principle of urban planning and design.
