Deep Structure of Urban Space Development
摘要
This chapter begins by discussing the deep structure of urban space development. The central focus is on the intrinsic structural role that various factors influencing urban space exert in their dynamic operation on urban space development. This intrinsic structural role manifests in various attributes such as social, economic, cultural, and ecological aspects of urban space. This book categorizes these attributes into four types and eight aspects: socio-cultural, economic-technical, construction environment, and political policy. Unlike previous studies, this book does not consider urban space as a direct reflection of these deep structures. Even when a certain factor dominates during a specific period, the development of urban space results from the collective operation of many subsystems. This comprehensive effect does not simply stack up; rather, it gives rise to a new holistic law—the basic law of urban space development.
