Differential Diagnosis of Ovarian Tumors with Mixed Solid and Cystic Parts: B. Imaging Diagnosis of Ovarian Serous Adenofibroma
摘要
The patient, a woman in her 50s, is scheduled for surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. The tumor, which exhibits mixed solid and cystic areas, was identified through a transvaginal ultrasound. Our first step is to excise the ovarian tumor and submit it for an intraoperative rapid diagnosis. If the tumor is confirmed as ovarian cancer, we will proceed with staging surgery, inclusive of retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. However, if the tumor is determined to be non-ovarian cancer, we will forego the lymph node dissection. As part of our treatment planning, we aim to distinguish between benign and malignant ovarian tumors and, as far as possible, estimate the histological type using preoperative imaging.
