Differential Diagnosis of Ovarian Tumors with Mixed Enhancing and Cystic Areas: A. Imaging Diagnosis of Epithelial Ovarian Cancer
摘要
A patient is scheduled for surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. Transvaginal ultrasound revealed that the tumor consists of both solid and cystic components. The initial plan is to surgically remove the tumor and promptly submit it for an intraoperative diagnosis. If the tumor is malignant ovarian cancer, we plan to perform staging surgery, which includes a retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. However, if the tumor is not related to ovarian cancer, we will not conduct this dissection. Preoperative imaging studies will be used to diagnose whether the tumor is benign or malignant and ascertain its histological type as accurately as possible to guide treatment.
