The patient, a woman in her 50s, has been experiencing irregular menstruation for 3 years and came to our hospital due to ongoing genital bleeding for the past year. A uterine mass was detected through ultrasonography, and a grade 2 endometrial carcinoma was identified in the endometrial biopsy. The contrast-enhanced CT scan of her abdomen did not show any signs of lymph node metastasis. If MR imaging revealed cervical stromal invasion, our plan involved conducting an open radical hysterectomy. If the depth of myometrial invasion was more than half, open surgery with para-aortic lymph node dissection would be conducted. If it was less than half, we would opt for laparoscopic surgery. The key questions were: in what order should MR imaging be conducted, how should we interpret the images, and how should we determine the type of surgical procedure?
