Imaging Diagnosis of Ovarian Tumor Stem Torsion
摘要
A patient in their 30s arrived at the emergency department at 9:00 pm with sudden severe pain in the lower right abdomen. The initial suspicion was a gynecological condition, so an on-call obstetrician was summoned for examination. By the time of the exam, the patient reported a decrease in pain. An ultrasound revealed an 8 cm adnexal tumor on the right ovary and a 4 cm one on the left, both suspected to be mature teratomas. As our institution does not perform laparoscopic surgeries at night or on holidays, we planned for emergency surgery only if stem torsion was present. If torsion was absent, surgery would be postponed. How is stem torsion diagnosed through imaging?
