The regulatory impact on innovation in a developing industry is a last factor to be considered when regulating the dangers associated with nanomaterials. Nanotechnology breakthroughs are frequently created by little-known firms and start-ups, just like those in other emerging technological fields. These organisations lack the means and experience to evaluate the health and ecological hazards of nanoparticles in a reliable manner. In the short term, regulatory assessments will need to be taken because there are no explicit quantitative risk evaluations. As the application of nanomaterials expands, regulators will encounter a variety of choice situations when addressing the regulation of possible environmental contaminants. Agencies oversee, among other things, evaluating the magnitude of a regulatory problem, looking into and managing potential dangers, and giving instructions for the secure creation, use, and disposal of materials or technologies.
