Crossing the Digital Divide in Older People: Analysis of Influencing Factors on the Willingness of the Elderly to Use Mobile Payment

With the rapid development of digitalization and population aging, the elderly have become a vulnerable group in the digital age. In Xi’an, the contradiction between the information society and aging problem is more prominent, and the willingness of the elderly to adopt mobile payment has become an important research object. The results of a citywide study using two-stage sampling show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, intergenerational technical support, and positive aging have a significant positive effect on the willingness of the elderly to adopt mobile payment. Based on this, optimizing the operation process of mobile payment, encouraging intergenerational family technical support, and improving the security of mobile payment can promote the digital integration of the elderly.
