Critical Whiteness in Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS)

Despite the humanities, arts, and social sciences being the home of critical theory, including critical Whiteness studies, critical race theory, and queer theory, they are not immune to the pervasive influence of Whiteness. This section in the Handbook of Critical Whiteness helps to further unpack and provide tangible illustrations of how these disciplines can be more inclusive of cultural diversity across national narratives, literature, study abroad programs, academic scholarship, theology, religion and spirituality, aged care, death and dying, and the arts sector.
