Is Artificial Intelligence Trustworthy? An Empirical Investigation to Adopt Generative AI for Cyber Threat Intelligence Using Valence Framework
摘要
This study aims to determine how Trust considering benefits and risks affects employees' intentions to use generative AI for threat intelligence. Using three antecedents—ability, integrity, and benevolence—and an extended valence framework that accounts for the positive valence and negative valence of benefit and risk perceived, respectively, a research framework is developed to evaluate adoption intention based on perceived Trust. An online poll of 243 managers and decision-makers from the business world familiar with the ideas behind AI and information security were respondents to get empirical data. The responses were analyzed using structural equation modeling. According to the findings, perceived Trust and benefit influence employees' intentions to employ generative artificial intelligence for threat intelligence, whereas perceived risk does not impact such intentions. The study emphasizes the significance of having a mechanism to increase managers' perceived benefits and Trust.
