Identification of Periocular Biometrics Using Novel Deep Learning Neural Network Approach

The region surrounding the eye is known as the periocular region. Given that face and iris-based biometric authentication systems require significant user involvement, periocular region-based authentication methods are a good compromise. The periocular recognition (PR) system presented in this study is based on deep learning and automatically locates and analyzes the most significant regions within the periocular region. The maximum features have been then derived from the periocular region. The extracted features are then passed through the Proposed System Architecture (PSA). The result of the PSA is presented in the paper along with the comparison with the other existing algorithms.
