Future of Trends in the Design and Development of PROTAC
摘要
Proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs), which precisely breakdown proteins of interest, have emerged as one of the most commonly employed tools in recent years for drug development. In a variety of illnesses, including malignancies, PROTAC has shown potential as a targeted therapeutic option. However, PROTACs are allied with a range of challenges. To overcome the many hurdles, choosing the right components such as the protein of interest (POI), linker, and E3 ligase ligand as well as design strategies are essential. This chapter discusses the significance of PROTACs, major trends in the future development of PROTAC, and the scope of PROTAC beyond oncology. Additionally, designs and development of PROTAC technologies and PROTACs in clinical trials are briefed.
