Exploring the Role of PROTACs for the Treatment of Breast Cancer
摘要
The emergence of PROTACs as a transformative class of therapeutic agents has prompted an intense investigation into their potential role in breast cancer. This chapter consolidates current knowledge on the application of PROTACs in breast cancer treatment. The primary objective is to elucidate the mechanisms by which PROTACs operate, emphasizing their unique ability to induce targeted protein degradation. Through a systematic review of the literature, this article identifies key proteins and pathways implicated in breast cancer that serve as potential targets for PROTACs. Clinical trials investigating the efficacy of PROTACs in breast cancer are summarized, providing insights into the current status of their development. The chapter also discusses challenges associated with PROTAC therapy in breast cancer and proposes future research directions. In conclusion, this comprehensive review underscores the promising role of PROTACs in reshaping breast cancer treatment paradigms and highlights the critical areas for further investigation in this rapidly evolving field.
