摘要

Diatoms, a type of microalgae, have emerged as a promising solution for industrial effluent treatment. Their ability to efficiently remove heavy metals, organic pollutants, and nutrients from wastewater makes them a sustainable and eco-friendly option. This review explores the diverse applications of diatoms in bioremediation, emphasizing their cost-effectiveness, scalability, and low environmental impact. Leveraging their natural affinity for pollutant absorption and the potential for biomass production, diatoms offer a greener approach to mitigating water pollution in various industrial sectors, contributing to improved water quality and environmental sustainability.
