Investigation of Safety Education Methods Based on the Results of a Survey of Elder Drivers’ Learning Styles Toward an Automated Driving System
摘要
While driver assistance systems in automated vehicles are becoming more sophisticated to reduce accidents and the burden on drivers, there are concerns regarding drivers-system incompatibilities. Given the complexity of the risk structure when driving a car and the changes in people and society, there is a need to study strategies to further reduce the risk of accidents. In resilience engineering, the support for overcoming human awareness limitations has been studied as a risk-reduction method. Considering these circumstances, this study investigated the age-specific characteristics of drivers’ learning styles and examined traffic safety education methods that are more acceptable to elderly drivers.
