Voiding Training and Biofeedback Therapy Should Be Considered During the CIC in Children

  • Jian-Guo Wen

摘要

Infants and children with NB often undergo CIC due to dysuria. These patients are in a state of growth and development, and some of them will see improvements in bladder function and pelvic floor control with the increase of age. Voiding training and biofeedback therapy can help improve these patients’ bladder function and pelvic floor control. The purpose of voiding training and biofeedback therapy for CIC patients is to transform those who rely entirely on CIC for urination into partial (morning and evening) CIC patients after treatment, effectively reducing the frequency of CIC sessions. It also aims to free some CIC patients from their dependence on CIC. This section will focus on the methods of voiding training and biofeedback therapy and how these methods can promote the recovery of voiding function in CIC patients. For patients with different conditions, in addition to performing CIC, they can also choose partial voiding training and pelvic floor training or voiding training combined with biofeedback therapy. These measures provide a more comprehensive diagnosis and nursing approach for CIC patients’ recovery [1].
