Political Risk Distribution (PRD) of Chinese OFDI from 2006 to 2017

This chapter presents the findings of the study, using the Country Political Risk Index to analyze the distribution of Chinese multinational enterprises’ (MNEs’) foreign direct investment in countries with different levels of political risk. The chapter concludes that Chinese MNEs take host country political risk into consideration when making investment decisions and that this behavior is consistent with MNEs from developed and developing countries.
