Genre Analysis of Psycho-correction Discourse

This chapter explores the generic features (including the generic structures and their linguistic realizations) of psycho-correction discourse in community corrections. The generic features of psycho-correction discourse should be analyzed before exploring how the offender is educated and transformed in psycho-correction from the perspective of individuation. Individuation is the process of allocating social semiotic resources to repertoires through personae. The theory of individuation stresses persona enacted by language users through using social semiotic resources with their own characteristics.
