Methodology

This chapter presents the fieldwork and data collection of the present study, introduces the analytical tool employed in the later-on analysis and delineates the analytical procedures. The present study adopts a qualitative and descriptive approach, incorporates method of ethnographic fieldwork and discourse analysis in SFL, and takes the corpus software UAM Corpus Tool 3.3 k as the analytical tool to analyze the psycho-correction discourse produced by the counselor and the offender in community corrections.
